Julio Uchimura

Julio Uchimura's commitment to the outsider art movement is best summarized by his profile as written in the Los Angeles alternative art magazine Picklebird on June 2002, "Identifying himself with the outsider or naive art movement, julio rejects the gallery venue for his work, preferring to show and sell it to benefit charity organizations. He uses found objects, which he cuts and shapes by hand to create the canvases on which he sometimes uses homemade pigment. Using painting techniques from the impressionist movement, a message of respect for the enviroment and all humanity is expressed through his work." junoartvio.jpg, detail sound box gaz detail end piece gaze, detail eye piece
